General FAQ

What if I want to fake tan?

Of course you can! But we highly recommend getting a professional spray tan done as the quality of the tan does
not transfer like an at home spray tan.

We also suggest (especially if you have hired a white or light coloured garment) that you have your fake tan done at
least 4 days prior to your event so you can have at least TWO WASHES before wear.

Any instant tans/creams/mousses should be avoided, these transfer really badly and may result in damage of our garment/s.

What if I damage the dress?

As per contract, any damage MUST be covered by the hirer.

This includes but is not limited to:
faulty zips, rips, stains, damage of fabric.

Most damages are repairable, in the instance where the damage is deemed unrepairable the cost of the RRP must be covered by the hirer.

What if I am sick the next day and can't return it in time?

For any unforeseen circumstances, Rent My
Style will NOT tolerate a late return. As a dress hire business, we rely heavily on fast and timely returns.

A late fee of $30 per day late will be charged for each day the dress is returned late.

Please refer to our Terms and Conditions for more information regarding late returns.

What if I have a change of mind?

Rent My Style does not offer refunds under any circumstances including a change of mind.

Rent My Style also does not offer swaps/store credits for garment/s under any circumstances.

As a lot of the garments in our store are on consignment, this is made extremely difficult, hence any change of minds/or
reasons where one is unable to wear the garment occur - a credit will be attached to that SAME garment to be used at a later date. This credit has no
expiry.

Where do I return my rental?

Our drop off location is in Aberfeldie at a residential address inside a dropbox.

The Dropbox is very easy to find as it looks like a letterbox, it says parcels on a silver pulley bin. Please pull this open and pop your garment in there inside the bag provided to you by the
staff in store.

Can I try on an item?

Of course you can! We pride ourselves in
our try on service and have had this service for 9 years.

Can I try on an item via postal?

Unfortunately, we do not offer this service.

We highly recommend trying the garment on elsewhere if you are located interstate or having a look at the sizing chart from the brand’s website before committing to an online dress hire order with us.

Do I need to dry clean the item before returning?

Absolutely not! We do this all for you.

Rent. Wear. Return.

Can I put an item on hold?

Unfortunately, we can not hold or reserve our garments without full payment as we are too busy with orders being made very fast online, in store and interstate.

Will I get my $20 refunded from my try on booking if I do not hire a dress?

Our $20 try on fee is exactly that, a fee to try to on in store where our staff will assist you in a dedicated one on on
time slot.

We do not operate like a regular retail store and our time with you is important.

If you decide to hire a garment in storeon the day of your appointment, the $20 booking fee will come off of the cost
of your hired garment/s.

If however you decide not hire during or on the same day of your appointment, the $20 booking fee will not be
reimbursed.
